GAO discussed the status of the judiciary's response to GAO recommendations for improving its long-range space planning process. GAO noted that: (1) the judiciary has implemented two of the recommendations relating to the consistency of the process and the time span covered by the projections; (2) the judiciary has partially responded to two other recommendations dealing with its projection methods and its level of subjectivity in the process; (3) the judiciary has not implemented the two remaining recommendations to improve its method for grouping districts and to establish appropriate baselines; and (4) judiciary officials are evaluating options for further action to fully address the remaining recommendations.
