District of Columbia Public Schools: Status of Fiscal Year 1998 Roof Projects

Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO discussed the District of Columbia Public Schools' (DCPS) roof replacement work for fiscal year (FY) 1998, focusing on: (1) the availability of funds to pay for roof repairs; (2) the current status of the roof repair process; (3) the estimated cost of the roof repairs; and (4) additional capital improvements in FY 1999 and beyond.
