This document is a collection of reports addressing questions regarding the Loss-of-Fluid Test (LOFT) facility submitted by the U.S. Senate Committee on Government Operations to the General Accounting Office for consideration by five individual consultants. Questions posed include reasons for not using LOFT as a meltdown experiment, and whether LOFT should be used on a timely basis to study the means of retaining molten cores and measuring the consequences of steam explosions and radioactive releases resulting from a meltdown.
