Child and Adult Care Food Program and Improved Targeting of Day Care Home Reimbursements
OGC-98-32, Mar 11, 1998
Pursuant to a legislative requirement, GAO reviewed the Department of Agriculture's (USDA) new rule governing child and adult day care food program's improved targeting of day care home reimbursements. GAO noted that: (1) the rule would amend the Child and Adult Care Food Program regulations governing reimbursements for meals served in family day care homes by incorporating changes resulting from USDA's review of comments it received on a January 7, 1997, interim rule; and (2) USDA complied with applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
