Pursuant to a legislative requirement, GAO reviewed the Fish and Wildlife Service's (FWS) new rules on the establishment of a youth waterfowl hunting day for the 1996-1997 migratory game bird hunting season. GAO found that: (1) the rules would establish the youth hunting day and the season and bag limits for the 1996-1997 migratory game bird hunting season; and (2) FWS complied with applicable requirements in promulgating the rules.
