GAO reported on the status of budget authority proposed for rescission in the President's fourth special impoundment message for fiscal year 1994.

GAO found that: (1) Congress passed an emergency supplemental and rescission bill approving most of the rescissions proposed in the President's message and rescinded other budgetary resources; and (2) all of the budget authority withheld pursuant to the proposals was released for obligation on April 20, 1994.
