President's Ninth Special Message for FY 1980

GAO reviewed the President's ninth special message for 1980 proposing a rescission of budget authority totaling $12.4 million and revisions to six previously transmitted deferrals increasing the amount deferred by $130.6 million. It identified no additional information that would be useful to the Congress in its consideration of the President's proposals and GAO believes that the proposed deferrals are in accordance with existing authority.
