Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO identified the Department of Defense's (DOD) future funding plans for 13 selected program categories.

GAO found that: (1) DOD planned funding of $13 billion to $15 billion annually for programs in the selected areas; (2) program estimates may have changed as a result of congressional action and adjustments to the Future Years Defense Program; and (3) most of the funds for these programs are in the operations and maintenance and research, development, test, and evaluation appropriation accounts.
