Military Bases: Revised Cost and Saving Estimates for 1988 and 1991 Closures and Realignments

Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO reviewed the Department of Defense's (DOD) cost estimates and savings associated with its 1988 and 1991 base closures and realignments, focusing on estimated: (1) military construction, environmental, and operations and maintenance costs; and (2) land sale revenues.
