Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO reviewed the Air Force's fiscal year (FY) 1992 aircraft procurement budget request and its prior years' appropriations for the B-2 aircraft's initial spares, focusing on potential: (1) reductions to the FY 1992 budget request; and (2) rescissions to the FY 1989 and FY 1990 appropriations.

GAO identified $178.9 million in potential reduction to the Air Force's FY 1992 budget request for B-2 initial spares.
