In response to a congressional request, GAO reviewed Department of Defense (DOD) actions to ensure that the classified document control system for the Advanced Technology Bomber, a special-access program, properly accounts for and protects classified documents.

In August 1987, DIS proposed a change to ISM, paragraph 19f. DIS expects this and other changes to be issued in fiscal year 1989. DOD expects to issue a revised ISM, including paragraph 19f in June, 1989. The ISM, including a revised paragraph 19f, was issued March 17, 1989.
