GAO presented information on the framework elements of: (1) mission and strategy identification; (2) functional identification and analysis; (3) information needs identification and analysis; (4) data needs identification and analysis; (5) applications identification and analysis; (6) logical system definition; (7) alternative architecture identification and analysis; and (8) target architecture selection.
