This is an e-supplement to GAO-13-17 This document presents the results of GAO's survey of transit agency officials that had been identified as possibly providing ADA paratransit service. In order to learn about transit agencies' experiences with and perspectives on costs related to and provision of ADA paratransit service, we conducted a web-based survey of a stratified random sample of 145 transit agencies. These survey results can be generalized to the entire population of 546 agencies that provide demand-response service and are presented as estimates with 95 percent confidence intervals within plus or minus 10 percentage points, unless otherwise noted. Of the 145 transit agencies we surveyed, we obtained a 77 percent response rate.
