GAO-11-912R: Aug 16, 2011
- Full Report:
GAO reviewed the Securities and Exchange Commission's (Commission), new rule on large trader reporting. GAO found that (1) the final rule is meant to both identify and obtain trading information on market participants that conduct a substantial amount of trading activity, as measured by volume or market value, in the U.S. securities markets; and (2) the Commission complied with the applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
