GAO reviewed the Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration's (EBSA) new rule on fiduciary requirements for disclosure in participant-directed individual account plans. GAO found that (1) the final rule requires the disclosure of certain plan and investment-related information, including fee and expense information, to participants and beneficiaries in participant-directed individual account plans; and (2) EBSA complied with applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
