GAO-10-1042R: Sep 7, 2010
- Full Report:
GAO reviewed the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) new rule on national emission standards for internal combustion engines. GAO found that (1) the final rule promulgates national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants for spark ignition engines that are located at sources of hazardous air pollutant emissions or sites with a rating of less than or equal to 500 brake horsepower and are located at major sources of hazardous air pollutant emissions; and the (2) EPA complied with applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
