GAO-07-1207R: Sep 10, 2007
- Full Report:
GAO reviewed the Federal Communications Commission's (Commission) new rule on service rules for the 698-806 MHz band, revision of the rules regarding public safety spectrum requirements, and a declaratory ruling on reporting requirement under the commission's Anti-Collusion Rule. GAO found that (1) the final rule governs wireless licenses in the 698-806 MHz band, currently occupied by television broadcasters and being made available for wireless services as a result of the digital television transition; and (2) the Commission complied with the applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
