- Full Report:
GAO reviewed the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) new rule on standards of performance for new and existing stationary sources. GAO found that (1) the rule finalizes the Clean Air Mercury Rule (CAMR) and establishes standards of performance for mercury for new and existing coal-fired electric utility steam generating units, as defined in the Clean Air Act section 111; and (2) EPA complied with applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
