Highlights
GAO reviewed the Department of Labor (DOL), Wage and Hour Division's new rule defining and delimiting the exemptions for executive, administrative, professional, outside sales and computer employees. GAO found that (1) the rule would revise regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act implementing the exemption from minimum wage and overtime pay for executive, administrative, professional, outside sales, and computer employees; and (2) DOL complied with all applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
