[Protest of NOAA Task Orders]

A firm protested two National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) task orders for the operation and maintenance of the United States Mission Control Center, contending that the task orders exceeded the scope of the awardee's contract and should have been procured competitively. GAO held that the two task orders were within the scope of the existing contract for operation, maintenance and technical support. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
