Highlights

A firm protested the Department of Veterans Affair's (VA) cancellation of a solicitation for warehouse operations services, contending that VA: (1) failed to adequately justify the cancellation; and (2) improperly allowed the incumbent contractor to perform the contract beyond the 5-year contract period. GAO held that: (1) VA reasonably cancelled the solicitation, since it no longer needed the required services; and (2) the protester failed to provide any evidence that VA violated any contracting laws. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed.
