[Protests of Interior Cancellation of Solicitation for Computer Maintenance Services]

Two firms protested the Department of the Interior's cancellation of its solicitation for computer maintenance services, contending that Interior improperly: (1) awarded a sole-source contract award; and (2) determined that they could not meet the solicitation requirements. GAO held that the protesters: (1) submitted technically unacceptable bids; and (2) untimely filed after bid opening their protest of alleged solicitation improprieties. Accordingly, the protests were dismissed.
