[Request for Reconsideration of Protest of DGSC Contract Award]

A firm requested reconsideration of its dismissed protest of a Defense General Supply Center contract award for shoulder harness reels. GAO had held that the protest was untimely filed after award. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that the qualified products list improperly indicated that the awardee was the only source for the product. GAO held that: (1) there was no qualification requirement in the solicitation; and (2) the protester failed to state a valid basis of protest. Accordingly, the dismissal was affirmed.
