Highlights

A firm protested the Air Force's cancellation of a solicitation for missile adaptors, contending that the Air Force improperly cancelled the solicitation and resolicited the requirements. GAO held that the: (1) Air Force properly cancelled the solicitation and resolicited the requirements, since the equipment procured under the original solicitation did not meet its needs; and (2) resolicitation would not result in an impermissible auction, since the revised specifications would significantly affect bidders' prices. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed.
