Highlights

A firm requested reconsideration of its dismissed protest of the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) rejection of its bid. GAO had held that the protester untimely filed its protest more than 10 days after it knew the basis of protest. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that its protest was timely, since it was filed within 10 days of initial adverse action on its agency-level protest. GAO held that the protester: (1) was responsible for including all pertinent information regarding the timeliness of its protest in its original filing; and (2) could not introduce new information in its reconsideration request. Accordingly, the original decision was affirmed.
