Highlights

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requested a decision regarding an employee's claim for reimbursement for real estate expenses for an apartment purchased with his nondependent father. GAO held that the recorded deed of title clearly stated that the employee had a 99-percent undivided interest in the ownership of the property. Accordingly, FAA may reimburse the employee for 99 percent of the total allowable real estate expenses incurred incident to the purchase of the property in accordance with the property deed.
