This responds to your request for comments on a proposal to amend Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 25.9 with respect to the use of the Inconsistency Between English Version and Translation of Contract clause. This is FAR Case No. 88-44.

The proposed amendment would make the English language meaning controlling in the event of an inconsistency between any terms of the contract and its translation into another language.

We have no objection to the amendment.
