[Request for Reconsideration of Dismissed Protest Against Proposed UNICOR Contract Award]

A firm requested reconsideration of its dismissed protest of a proposed Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR) contract award for data preparation services. GAO had held that the protester prematurely protested a solicitation which UNICOR had not issued. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that it received information that UNICOR had in fact awarded the contract to another firm. GAO held that the: (1) protester's information regarding the contract award was erroneous; and (2) protester failed to show that the original decision contained factual or legal errors. Accordingly, the dismissal was affirmed.
