The Air Force requested a reconsideration of a decision to allow a firm's claim for deducted freight charges for damaged household goods, contending that the goods were destroyed and were not kept for salvage. The carrier contended that the goods were useable, and the Air Force erroneously determined that they were destroyed. GAO held that the goods were destroyed. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
