Eleven firms requested reconsideration of their dismissed protests against the General Services Administration's (GSA) rejection of their bids for automatic data processing furniture. GAO had held that the protests were academic, since GSA took corrective action that provided the protesters with the relief they had sought. In their requests for reconsideration, the firms contended that they were entitled to reimbursement for their protest preparation costs. GAO held that the firms were not entitled to reimbursement, since the protests were academic and it had made no determination regarding the protests' merits. Accordingly, the claims were denied.
