Highlights

The Customs Service requested a decision concerning an employee's entitlement to reimbursement for real estate expenses he incurred incident to his transfer. GAO held that: (1) the residence the claimant sold was not in the vicinity of his old duty station; and (2) the claimant did not regularly commute between that residence and his duty station. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
