Highlights

A civilian employee of the Air Force requested reconsideration of the denial of his claim for overtime pay while he travelled to and from his temporary assignment. GAO had held that the employee was not entitled to overtime pay, since: (1) he did not perform any work while travelling to and from his assignment; (2) his assignment was not of an emergency nature; and (3) he could have travelled during normal duty hours. GAO held that the claimant did not provide any new legal or factual evidence to support his claim that the travel was the result of an emergency situation. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
