[Response to Request for Information Concerning GAO Claims Settlement Process]

A federal employee requested information on the GAO claims settlement process. GAO noted that: (1) it would only consider an employee's claim involving requested monetary relief; and (2) a claimant must submit his claim to his employing agency before submitting it to GAO.
