A firm requested reconsideration of the dismissal of its protest against an Air Force solicitation, contending that the dismissal was erroneous because the Air Force acknowledged receipt of the protest 2 days prior to its filing with GAO. GAO held that: (1) a protester must furnish a copy of its protest to the contracting agency within 1 day of filing the protest; (2) the protester's agency-level protest did not satisfy the requirement that it furnish a copy of the protest to the contracting officer within 1 day of its filing; and (3) since the protester did not furnish the Air Force with a copy of its GAO protest as required, the protest was properly dismissed. Accordingly, the prior dismissal was affirmed.
