Highlights

A firm requested reconsideration of a decision in which GAO refused to consider its protest concerning alleged improprieties in a Naval Weapons Center invitation for bids. GAO had held that the protest was untimely because it was not filed within 10 working days of the date that the protester received notice that its bid had been rejected. Bid protest procedures require that a request for reconsideration specify any error of law made or provide information not considered in the original protest. The material submitted by the protester did not provide a basis for GAO to waive its timeliness requirements. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was denied.
