Highlights

An Agency for International Development (AID) employee requested reconsideration of her denied claim for additional compensation for her use of advance sick leave. GAO had held that AID properly paid the claimant for the leave. In her request for reconsideration, the claimant contended that AID inaccurately calculated her pay for the period during which she used the sick leave, since AID: (1) used the sick leave to cover an earlier period of illness for which she took leave without pay; and (2) failed to compensate her for 24 hours of annual leave which accrued during the period of advance sick leave. GAO held that the claimant failed to offer any additional evidence which would warrant reversal of its original decision. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
