Request for Reconsideration

A company requested reconsideration of a decision denying its protest of an award of a contract for telephone services. That decision found that the agency's determination to evaluate price proposals from communications common carriers, which are subject to possible regulatory rate revision, as offering firm prices was reasonable. The company timely filed a short notice indicating general disagreement with the prior decision, and subsequently provided a detailed statement in support of its request. Requests for reconsideration must be filed no later than 10 working days after the basis for reconsideration is known, and must contain a detailed statement specifying any error of law or information not previously considered. Since the company failed to submit the detailed statement within the required timeframe, the request for reconsideration was dismissed.
