Temporary Quarters Subsistence Expenses Incident to Change of Duty Station

An advance decision was requested on the payment of a claim for expenses related to occupancy of temporary quarters where lodging was in the home of a friend incident to a change of permanent duty station. Although the charges appeared to be reasonable, no information was furnished as to whether the friend incurred additional expense, performed extra work, etc. in providing the employee with lodging. The claim could not be paid on the basis of the existent record.
