Highlights

An employee claimed that under Department of Treasury regulations both he and his wife were entitled to one round trip to seek a new residence, that there was no requirement that they travel together or at the same time, and that the cost to the Government for transportation would be the same regardless of when the trip is performed. An employee who is authorized to take a househunting trip upon change of duty station is not authorized an additional round trip by the employee's spouse to take part in the closing procedures.
