Claim against Grantee for Proceeds from Sale of Publication

The Armed Forces Institute of Pathology claimed the proceeds from the sale of a publication prepared by the Universities Associated for Research and Education in Pathology under a Federal grant. Since the grant agreement provided that grant-related income shall be retained by the grantee and disposed of as directed by the grantor and the proceeds from the sale of the publication were grant-related, the proceeds may be retained by the grantee even though the publication was conceived within the Federal sector and its preparation was federally funded.
