Bid Quoted Variable Pricing for Item of Solicitation

A company protested the proposed award of a Government Printing Office contract for coldtype composition, contending that the bid submitted by the proposed awardee was nonresponsive because it quoted variable pricing for one item of the solicitation. The solicitation reserved to the government the right to waive defects or informalities. Evaluation of the item price did not displace the protester in the bidding; the protest was denied.
