Highlights

A company requested relief for an alleged mistake in its bid price. The company's suppliers notified it of a price increase a day after the bid was mailed, and the agency buyer told the company that a modification was not required until after contract award. Relief may be granted for a unilateral mistake in bid because the Government should have been aware of the possibility of a mistake prior to making the award. The amount of relief granted for each item cannot exceed the price of the next acceptable bid. The award should be rescinded and requirements resolicited. (SW)
