Erroneous Payment of Foreign Duty Pay and Hostile Fire Pay

H. E. Carleno appealed the partial denial of an Army member's request for waiver of his debt to the United States which arose out of his service in the Army. Erroneous payment of hostile fire and foreign duty pay paid to soldier after reassignment from Vietnam to United States, and additional erroneous pay before discharge, were waived. Partial payment pending settlement and excess emergency leave pay were not erroneous and waivable. (DJM)
