Request for Modification of Contract Price

A contractor requested modification of the price of its contract due to an alleged error in its bid claimed after the award of the contract. The request was not allowed since a valid and binding contract resulted when, due to the nature of the suspected mistake, the contracting officer adequately discharged his bid verification duty by calling to the bidder's attention the variance in bids received, and the contractor verified its bid.
