YOUR TELEGRAM OF JUNE 15, 1962, PROTESTED THE REJECTION OF YOUR PROPOSAL AS NONRESPONSIVE TO THE FIRST STEP OF A 2-STEP PROCUREMENT UNDER INVITATION FOR BIDS 600-901-62. WE HAVE NOW RECEIVED A REPORT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY ADVISING US THAT YOUR COMPANY, AFTER HAVING BEEN GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO SUBMIT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND TO BRING YOUR PROPOSAL UP TO AN ACCEPTABLE STATUS, WAS PERMITTED TO, AND DID, SUBMIT A BID ON THE SECOND STEP OF THE PROCUREMENT. AWARD WAS MADE ON SEPTEMBER 4, 1962, TO THE LAW, RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, INET-SPRAGUE DIVISION, SPRAGUE ENGINEERING CORPORATION.

IN VIEW OF THE ABOVE CIRCUMSTANCES, WE ASSUME THAT YOU HAVE NO FURTHER PROTEST IN THIS MATTER AND, UNLESS OTHERWISE ADVISED, ARE CLOSING OUR FILES.
