The advice and comments of the Government Accountability Office (GAO) were requested regarding first-class air travel reimbursement for Senators and certain employees of the senate. GAO favors the maximum utilization of lower cost air fares for all Government officials, where the use of such low cost accommodations is feasible and practicable.
