SHIPLEY ADVISED OUR OFFICE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE TREASURY CHECK NO. 9351925, DATED NOVEMBER 1, 1918, IN THE AMOUNT OF $22.83, WHICH WAS DRAWN TO THE ORDER OF YOUR SISTER, JENNIE HEMPHILL, RETURNED TO YOU. HE ASKED THAT WE RETURN THE CHECK TO YOU IF WE COULD DO SO UNDER OUR REGULATIONS. AS YOU KNOW, WE CONSIDERED YOUR CLAIM FOR THE PROCEEDS OF THIS CHECK AND BY SETTLEMENT CERTIFICATE Z-2110933, SEPTEMBER 15, 1961, WE DENIED YOUR CLAIM.
