REFERENCE IS MADE TO FC USA FORM Q-1232, DATED JULY 22, 1957, RELATING TO THE CLAIM OF MR. STUART A. HANDMAKER, MARION E. TAYLOR BUILDING, LOUISVILLE 2, KENTUCKY, FOR REIMBURSEMENT FOR HIS WIFE'S TRAVEL FROM FORT MYER, VIRGINIA, TO STANFORD, CALIFORNIA.

THE MEMBER WAS RELEASED FROM ACTIVE DUTY AS FIRST LIEUTENANT, USAR, 02 272 024, BY PARAGRAPH 30, SPECIAL ORDERS NO. 243, DATED DECEMBER 11, 1956. HIS DEPENDENTS COMPLETED TRAVEL FROM FORT MYER, VIRGINIA, TO HIM HOME OF RECORD, LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY, DURING NOVEMBER 1956. THEREAFTER, ON OR ABOUT DECEMBER 18, 1956, THEY TRAVELED TO LOS ALTOS, CALIFORNIA, AND AFTER A BRIEF VISIT, RETURNED TO LOUISVILLE ON OR ABOUT JANUARY 3, 1957. BY SETTLEMENT DATED MAY 13, 1957, THE MEMBER WAS ALLOWED $40.68 AS REIMBURSEMENT FOR HIS WIFE'S TRAVEL FROM FORT MYER TO LOUISVILLE. WHILE THE FORM MENTIONED ABOVE IS DESIGNATED "APPEAL TO DENIAL," NO REQUEST FOR REVIEW OF THE GENERAL ACCOUNTING OFFICE SETTLEMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED FROM THE MEMBER.
