REFERENCE IS MADE TO YOUR LETTER DATED AUGUST 24, 1955, REQUESTING RECONSIDERATION OF OUR SETTLEMENT DATED MAY 13, 1952, WHICH DISALLOWED YOUR CLAIM FOR STATION SUBSISTENCE PER DIEM COVERING THE PERIOD FEBRUARY 1 TO JUNE 30, 1949, WHILE STATIONED AT FORT RICHARDSON, ALASKA.

YOUR CLAIM IS SIMILAR TO THAT OF ANOTHER OFFICER OF THE ARMY, MAJOR WILLIAM J. SCOTT, ORDNANCE CORPS, CONSIDERED IN OUR DECISION OF AUGUST 15, 1955, B-124007, A COPY OF WHICH IS ENCLOSED. FOR THE REASONS STATED IN THAT DECISION, THERE IS NO AUTHORITY FOR THE PAYMENT OF YOUR CLAIM, AND THE SETTLEMENT OF MAY 13, 1952, IS SUSTAINED.
