YOUR LETTER OF JUNE 27, 1955, REFERS TO YOUR CLAIM, PREVIOUSLY DISALLOWED BY A SETTLEMENT OF MARCH 20, 1953, FOR THE PROCEEDS OF THE 1944 TAX REFUND CHECK ISSUED TO YOUR ORDER ON SEPTEMBER 12, 1945. THE CHECK, NO. 1,977,272, WAS IN THE AMOUNT OF $61.68.

YOU ARE ADVISED THAT THE RECORDS OF OUR OFFICE INDICATE THAT YOU RECEIVED THE PROCEEDS OF THE CHECK. THE REVERSE SIDE OF THE CHECK BEARS YOUR MARK WITNESSED BY TWO PERSONS, AND WAS PAID BY THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF SAN FRANCISCO IN MARCH 1946. APPARENTLY, THE INFORMATION YOU RECEIVED IN 1952 THAT THE CHECK HAD NOT BEEN DELIVERED WAS ERRONEOUS.
